Scanly AR is designed as an offline-first application. QR codes generated, scan history, notes, and folders are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a remote server for storing your QR content.
Your data remains under your control unless you choose to back up your device using system-level backup services such as iCloud.
The App integrates Firebase Analytics to collect limited, non-personally identifiable usage data such as device type, app version, session duration, feature usage, and crash reports. This data is used solely to improve performance and user experience.
We do not sell personal data. Firebase operates under Google’s privacy standards.
The “Safe” or “Not Safe” indicator shown after scanning URLs is based strictly on HTTP versus HTTPS protocol detection. It does not perform full security analysis or malware detection.
Users remain fully responsible for evaluating website safety before visiting any external link.
The free version of the App may display advertisements served through third-party networks. These providers may collect limited device-level information according to their own privacy policies.
Users may purchase a one-time ad removal option within the App.
Bulk QR generation is processed locally on your device. Larger tasks may require additional processing time depending on your device’s hardware capabilities.
Since most data is stored locally, security depends on your device’s protection mechanisms. We recommend enabling passcodes, biometric authentication, and system encryption.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
